On-line rating (discussion)

I suggest introducing an unofficial practice – an unwritten gentleman's agreement – not to inflate one's rating in the seasonal ranking by regularly winning against players who are significantly weaker.

At what point does rating inflation begin? After 1, 3, 5, or 10 games? Maybe we should ask Pasha to conduct a poll? He enjoys that. If we completely prohibit it, how will they learn to play without playing against more skilled players? Who will determine who they can play against and who they can't? Many newcomers sincerely believe they are the best players in the world, but just a little unlucky:rolleyes:
