P.S. Don't forget that, in contrast to the "Emerald Boots," the opponent may have the "Cloak of Silanna," not to mention some other artifacts that I listed in answer #18 in the "Necropolis vs. Academy" topic, as well as abilities that affect the reduction of magic damage...
