Faust is usually a calm and patient person with a scientific mindset, but when it comes to Elise, he is terrifying in his anger. He does not tolerate negligence in his work and is very intolerant of any criticism, insults, or threats directed at Elise. Faust is the embodiment of selfless and devoted love. He dedicated himself to Elise and did everything in his power throughout his life to protect her and care for her, both in life and after death. It is this straightforwardness and selflessness that gives him strength in the shaman tournament.

Horohoro (Trey) is a simple, kind, open, and cheerful character. He is quite amusing, and in the anime, he is remembered for his specific manners and unique sense of humor. Some consider him a bit slow-witted, but that's not a bad thing. When necessary, he can gather himself and quickly and promptly react to a threat to himself or his friends. Horohoro is a protector by nature; his goal is to protect the small tribe of spirits, and in battle, he uses defensive techniques much more often than offensive ones. He believes that people should live in harmony with nature and rejects senseless killings.

Liserg Diethel is one of the main characters in the manga and anime Shaman King. He is a more "complex" character than the other main characters.
