Confirmed.
On turn 111, I have 32 archers and can see an external dwelling with angels and monks bypassing the castle; there's no money under the castle, so I have 4 heroes. I move Valeska to clear a couple of minor blocks, intending to upgrade archers in a chain on turn 112. I see an arena behind some wood, with 2 units blocking the path. Gold is nowhere to be seen! There’s simply not enough money for upgrades!
I break down the wood with Valeska and pass the army using the chain formation. I clear the blocks and use my mule on turn 113 to take a near-maxed crypt and pass the army to Valeska. The chain was well calculated – step by step, but Valeska still has a full turn left, and she starts pulling ahead. With only 4 heroes available, it's impossible to secure overnight lodging...
Outcome of the first week: adjacent swamp secondary town with Dragon Utopia=(((, Erdem gets a double, and I find an uncolored external dwelling with hydras. A very extensive and inconvenient respawn area for houses, totaling 5 heroes (due to lack of funds and poverty), an external dwelling with archers and griffins, I scout out two more monk dwellings, a home Dragon Utopia, and horses at the castle.
For the second gathering, focusing on monetary buildings and external dwellings: I occupy an external dwelling with horses + monks using Valeska (falling short by one square from another external dwelling). Using my rogue, I capture two more monk dwellings! 8 heroes - things are looking up!
On the third day, I finally seize the angel dwelling, head back home, and spend three days walking to my home Dragon Utopia=(
On turn 136, the level 2 Dragon Utopia gives me a shield+sword +12/-3, ribs, and a sphere of earth. At home, levels 1-7 in the castle; all that remains of the army are 6 horses, archers, and monks (I didn’t take them to the Dragon Utopia).
And here's where I start making mistakes; I can't make it within 6 minutes!
It's clear that I need to take the adjacent Dragon Utopia before Erdem, especially since there's another one nearby in the grassy treasure zone, but instead of heading towards the swamp, I start moving pawns around. On turn 136, I don't have time to move my mule and fail to break through with Valeska (even though I deliberately left some skeletons alive!). On turn 137, I break through, go to the Dragon Utopia on dragonflies, but 4 heroes are occupied capturing external dwellings; I lack a chain of 4 heroes, think for too long, and again fail to complete my turn!
In general, I overcomplicated things with dismissing/hiring heroes and transferring troops across the swamp, and I don't capture the Dragon Utopia on turn 142! And naturally, it gets taken from under my nose. The opponent disappears (I assume Dimension Door). I send my rogue to check the Dragon Utopia, but he doesn't reach it; Valeska goes after the second Dragon Utopia. There's another level 2 Dragon Utopia further along, containing a helmet +10/-2, a book of water, and junk. I arrive at an empty treasure zone... Meanwhile, Erdem captures the Dragon Utopia and takes the tome of air. I briefly search the treasure zone, but the path home is cut off in the treasure zone, there’s nothing to find, and walking back home through the swamp would take ages...
In short, playing against wings, Dimension Door, and doubles with this basic log (given only in slot 7) is useless, so I surrendered on turn 211.
Thanks for the game!
