But there are cases like this. The US army was undisciplined enough to come to Germany and do whatever they wanted there – because they weren't given clear instructions. And they considered the Germans not only as losers but also as people they could profit from, for having fought against the German army from Normandy to the Elbe... The allies didn't condemn any German military leaders for war crimes, but they harassed the Japanese, who had only defeated their largest naval base in the Pacific, and the general responsible for only a thousand deaths in that war was the only one sentenced to death.
