I sacrificed all my strongest units to Ilay (paladins, archangels, inquisitors, Black Dragons, Mistresses, Archdevils, and Imps!), so they could drain Tolgar's mana and transfer it to Ilay. She had all the Chaos spells and spell power, so the siege of the castle didn't cause any particular problems.
