What do you expect from a game released in 2002?

Graphics that are completely unappealing

That's strange, I find it perfectly acceptable. By the way, in my opinion, the graphics are brilliant. It's not about how advanced or modern it is, but about the atmosphere. It conveys the atmosphere of Gothic very well, just like everything else in the game, except for the bugs.
You get used to the idiotic controls quickly, and yes, there is some grind.

Although it's more dynamic than this talentless, empty Morrowind, I'll admit. But overall, the game is just okay. A fantasy mediocrity.

What would you consider a "gifted" game?
