The first version of your map (MAP1.h3m from 01/11/2006) runs perfectly on my clean copy of Shades of Darkness.
The portal at (0,0) in MAP1 already exists.
Marmot, if you can't install Sod in a separate folder (due to a lost disk and lack of a fast internet connection), at least let us know what operating system you are using.
The map has been confirmed to run on Win98 and Win7 (64).
