As I recall, in BF my favorite unit was the Cyber-monad "Varans"; I was insanely happy when I saw them in the store, but also wildly indignant that they were placed in one box with some—as I called them back then—"drevlyans" (lol), in short, with the Barbarian Company "Varang"
Also, I remember having Company "Norman", Division "Kaiser", Corps "Condor", Company "Matador", Legion "Amazons", Platoon "Stalingrad", Gang "War Dogs" (one of my absolute favorites), Unit "Rhodesia", Assault Platoon "Titan", Corps "Tornado", Goblin-company "Python" (also one of my favorites), and two more favorites, with two of each unit: unit "Warriors of Mithra" and Storm-Cluster "Canopus" (I also remember always laughing at that name and calling them "karapuzes," ahaha)

And I also played SkyTech, Robotech, Armored Infantry, Age of Battles, and maybe something else
Age of Battles isn't interesting, even though it's rich (larger-scale battles, many various attributes for people; maybe that's why it's not interesting, because it's tedious), I barely played Robotech at all, Armored Infantry was the most interesting
But I mostly collected BF

However, we only played by the rules about one and a half times; the rest of the time we just used them as toy soldiers.

And I always played strictly by the rules, on the highest difficulty) I was constantly pestering my dad to play with me (and now once every six months I actually manage to convince him to game with me in mtg), I played often with friends and by myself)

At camp, two guys and I wanted to come up with a text RPG; we seriously started writing all sorts of things, thinking through the system, but then we argued about something, didn't agree with each other, then it became too much effort, so we never made anything)
In my childhood, I CONSTANTLY came up with all kinds of complete nonsense: sometimes some board games, sometimes new rules for those same BF, sometimes 3D chess, sometimes paper lego-something-or-other that you cut out of ordinary paper, and so on.
The main thing is that I never finished absolutely any of it((

I remember, relatively recently (3 years ago? 4?), I started making my own text RPG, and I started doing it without having played a single text RPG, lol))
