Everything is subjective.... I, for example, couldn't even imagine that there could be fans of the 4th game... let alone "PASSIONATE" ones.
Thirdly, everything seems better to us subjectively only because they were as simple as possible...

I think a month or two will pass, and everyone will enthusiastically say - "what amazing creatures are in the 5th game!!!" and "How convenient that gargoyles - chests - can be used to hide grandma's jaw!!!"
