Yes, there is such a thing ^_^ I usually open them up and resolder the wires, but having electrical tape on the headphones doesn't look very aesthetically pleasing.
I dealt with this by: inserting the jack into the adapter in that position, and wrapping it all up with a lot of tape. And considering that the adapter's jack was broken, I also had to plug it into the phone at a certain angle, because otherwise the sound would lag terribly, going back and forth, i.e., it would be there, then it wouldn't, making it impossible to listen to -_- for this purpose, I wrapped the entire phone in tape). And this is even with the fact that it's a slider phone, i.e., I either listen to music or type messages and just tap on the numbers.
I couldn't find an adapter anywhere, and I only found one when it was already too late, the phone was completely broken. The ribbon cable was tearing in it, all the buttons were dying one by one -_- and finding a ribbon cable for that specific phone is completely useless in our villages
