In the scenario you proposed, there are two options: I'm Mafia, and I want to give you my protection, or I'm Mafia, and I want you to be killed. You can't do that; you only see me as Mafia.
Similarly, you could say that I'm a Trojan, and I want you to be protected, or I'm a Trojan, and I don't want you to waste protection on you for any reason (I know you're Mafia/Elena/Kickn/you have a low chance of surviving).
