Various authors locate Hyperborea in Greenland, near the Ural Mountains, on the Kola Peninsula, in Karelia[14], on the Taimyr Peninsula; it has also been suggested that Hyperborea was located on a now-submerged island (or continent) in the Arctic Ocean. There is also a version that the Hyperboreans lived on the Solovetsky Islands, where, according to legend, they still live in an underground city.
