Guys, how do I get past this?:confused:
I'm in shock! The enemy has such a large army, they defeat me easily.

Here's a helpful tip: under no circumstances should you capture the first southern castle – otherwise, you're in trouble (for inexperienced players). For a successful start, Agrael should already have logistics and a triple ballista (preferably a tent as well). Immediately capture the mines and try to do so with minimal losses. Hire a second hero to gather resources. Where the druids guard, it's best to avoid it for now. After a week or two (with your own troops growing), you can go to the northwestern elven city. While you're gathering troops, just run away (in a circle) from strong armies.
