I believe that the magical artifact in question is a teleport that has been modified in the map editor. I've seen such tricks in official tournaments. The only question is how it ended up in a real game...

I don't know how to use the editor to add or change anything. The image is as it is in the original; there's no teleport there, even in the Dwarf faction area. :D

P.S.: I won't be able to answer before the 20th - it's still ongoing, and superman is currently in the lead.
