I fully support the Evil Romantic's position. Awarding technical victories in this case is incorrect. Why? Here's a simple example:
In the first round, a player loses to a cheater.
In the second round, this player plays against someone who also lost their game. Let's say they win.
Then the cheater is removed, and their losses are recorded. What happens?
The player suddenly has 2 wins out of 2 for free :eek:. This means we get a complete distortion of the tournament bracket.

I'm not even mentioning that cheating in this tournament still needs to be proven! Maybe they played fairly. How do we know!

I believe that the best solution would be to leave everything as it is! Just like we leave the results of wowa, Redwhait, and others.

One well-known player was removed because, allegedly, they deliberately lowered their rating before the tournament to participate in a weaker tournament and win a decent cash prize.

We had a similar case in Novosibirsk. They dropped from 2400 to 2000 and went to Aeroflot. In the end, they didn't win any prizes :D
