13.06.2010 Dirty_Player (blue, Tower, Neela, Neela) def Catch (red, Conflux, Monere, Monere) Mini-Nostalgia 133
Confirmed. We PMed about Anarchy, but couldn't connect in Soda, so we had to play in WT on Mini-Nostalgia. Neither of us had ever played on it. My start was good — five heroes on the first day, Monere runs to the castle respawn, captures the castle on the second day, I hire Pirri, she finishes off two heroes. On the third day, I pass all the troops down the chain to Coronius, the chain is set, Monere is aiming to take the swamp on day 4 or at worst day 5. But I made a mistake — I was afraid to attack Ivor in the open field, either thinking I didn't have enough movement points to reach the castle, or I just brain-farted... In the end, Ivor killed Brissa, and then got himself killed on someone else. The chain was broken, and the blitzkrieg didn't work out. I started getting nervous. By day 6, Brogh returned to the castle and I didn't dare attack. I decided to wait for growth. I wanted to stick birds in the citadel, send Pirri into a max skeleton pile with 2 horses and 4 swordsmen — a wipe... I only had enough money for the castle.
121 I pass the growth to Monere and :smile51: he's one move short of reaching the swamp (who counts it like that??? :smile51: ) out of frustration, I attack the magic elementals guarding an artifact on the road (since I'd have to go around them through the swamp), but they turned out to be stronger. I was upset, but I could see that Kostya's game wasn't going great either. Scouting revealed part of his respawn and a corner of his castle — I saw that Gosha had taken it from him. So I kept going. Monere is recruited in the castle, takes the horse growth, clears a couple of skeleton piles with them and enters the treasure zone, but there's nowhere to go — someone strong is guarding something along the road. I go back, place the birds, take the growth on 131 and run, capture the level two Griffin Conservatory under the swamp and finally kill Broghild. Then I plan to go straight into the treasure zone, break through the guard, reveal the mercenary camp. It's unguarded!!! I think, damn... Which was confirmed immediately after ending my turn. Kostya had already galloped through the treasure zones, Neelka's stats were an order of magnitude higher, plus a chain whip...
Thanks for the game, Oleg!
