The answer is simple, sm-ka is not the worst template. Despite the draft of templates, many still like it. People sometimes offer me to play on sm-ka without a draft. What I like about sm-ka:
1. Few towns, only 6. If my troops are stronger, the opponent won't be flying around me for long.
2. Respawn always matches the castle.
3. Most players have played the majority of their games on sm-ka.

As for the version of Heroes, I'd like TE-light or WT. There were so many SOD supporters who switched to TE-light, WT. Let the host suggest the settings. I want no experience, tax, bank, classes, and with CHESS CLOCKS with time in battles.
Castles and templates are better drafted. Once, Korzh and I started playing Tower vs Tower from the randomizer. Maybe some people like it that way, but I don't. With a draft, I can cross out templates I don't like, which is why I don't like the randomizer.
