I would suggest banning the black and red spheres altogether... and the Cloak of Renunciation as well.
In the Warlord Tournament settings, this can be easily disabled. Just agree with your opponent and go for it. Or am I misunderstanding something?
And in the end, it's not necessary to attack an enemy with the sphere; you can just move it to your backpack.
