Don't confuse "could" and "would." These are different things. I may be able to adjust my mindset to defend different points of view, but I still have my own.

I almost agree with this, if the punishment were milder, but unfortunately, it didn't come from us, and there will always be those who are outraged by a harsh punishment!

The point is not whether it's mild or harsh. The point is how it's presented to the public.

For many, the AK brand is not a symbol of infallibility (as Dubrovin tries to portray it); one must defend one's point of view in an open debate. AK avoided this debate, and that is one of the reasons for such a reaction.

But don't apply it to yourself :). Each such situation is unique and requires an individual approach.

As someone who is deeply involved in this matter, I can say that a perfectly achievable result for AK would be: the public loudly demands a ban for Alex and Cobra, the objections of a small group of dissatisfied people are drowned out in this wave, organized resistance either does not exist or quickly fades away under the influence of the arguments of the prosecution, and AK's reputation soars instead of hitting rock bottom, etc.

Whether you believe it or not is your right. It's better to believe it and try to figure out how it could have been done. If you figure it out, you will grow a lot. A small hint: reread all the materials on Vitalik's case; it was simpler, but the principles are similar.
