Yura, I have a completely opposite view of your position, that the Arbitration Committee (AC) should only record the opinions of the Players.
The question is, why choose an AC if you can solve the issue with the opinion of the majority of Players, without an AC?

Naturally, I also agree with Vik. IMHO, no one in their right mind would delegate the authority of the ultimate arbiter to the AC. The AC is needed to separate the wheat from the chaff. Yura wrote about "laziness," but for me, it's "just" a matter of professional competence.

He seems to have answered why the AC was chosen. Or is the question why the AC was chosen when some issues will be resolved through a general vote? Sorry, this is either self-will or the presence of ingrained complexes.
