We played in 2 sessions. First game: Griffins in the Citadel, lots of gold, 8 heroes.
Plenty of candidates for leveling up — Edric, Chris, Stracker, Ignissa. Couldn't choose, started leveling Chris and Stracker.
Second game: Dragon Fly Hive — minis and Griffin Conservatory — level 2. On the 3rd, level 3 Griffin Conservatory with Liches, where I lost 100+ skeletons and 2 Griffins (anti-morale against 3 full stacks in the 1st round)
Naga Bank level 3 with upgraded units and 2 more Hives. 20 Wyverns in total (8+4+8)
I opened all the teleports, sent Stracker with 2 Angels to recollect skeletons, and then near the zone guard Liches I spot Gunnar. Immediately pulled the Angels back — as it turned out, just in time, because the next turn they would have been killed — they saw me with the scout... And then I get a gift. On his turn, Gunny took the Mana Vortex, killed 3 Liches (Stracker fled), captured the village, and stood next to the Mana Vortex, with Shakti on Harpies nearby.
The chains were set — Ignissa took the village, Chris teleported in, wrecked Gunnar — he killed 2 Angels, a Griffin, and a Wyvern and fled, but Chris easily catches up to Shakti too and with Mass Haste kills him, capitulation.
