In reality, this spell has its drawbacks. Firstly, it's not permanent, meaning it can absorb a certain amount of damage, the quantity of which depends on the spellcasting skill, and then it disappears, requiring it to be cast again, wasting a turn. Secondly, there are more effective spells, such as vampirism. Thirdly, it is quickly broken by Divine Vengeance, and fourthly, it can be removed with a simple dispel spell.
