Which hero is the best in the Tribes of the East expansion?

Synitar is almost a weapon of mass destruction, but it needs to be upgraded to level 15-20. As for my humble experience playing as the Town, I've played as all of them, and IMHO, there aren't any that stand out particularly.

I think there's more than enough mana by level 15-20. What's the point of Synitar? Only in the beginning, maybe, spells are cheaper by 1 mana, but then it grows rapidly (education, artifacts, building in the castle). If it's really tough, you can just take the spell cost reduction skill (I don't remember the name), and the second skill that makes them cheaper too.
