As we approached the village by the river, we found it to be quite quiet, with no signs of life except for the empty houses. While scouting the area, one of the mages stumbled upon a peasant. He begged us not to kill him, and we told him that we weren't planning to, but he kept pleading for mercy. We managed to get him to talk, and the poor fellow told us about the dwarves who had killed all the villagers. Now it's clear why he was so scared of us. According to him, their camp was on the other side of the river. I immediately gathered a squad and headed towards the bridge. The enemy didn't keep us waiting and engaged in battle. Their leader was a dwarf in a mask, although they were all wearing masks, quite strange fellows. However, their combat skills turned out to be much worse than their ability to scare the villagers with their appearance. The enemy was defeated, and our group moved on. Unfortunately, the peasant died in the battle (he was to blame, he ran ahead).
P.S. To be honest, I didn't really translate the dialogues properly, and I don't know what kind of dwarves they were. Maybe it was written somewhere, I don't know. I think they are from some kind of order (maybe those rune masters) or from a dwarf clan that we are heading to, or undead.

P.S. I leveled up one archer with a rifle to level 3 (it's visible in the screenshot).
And I made two apprentice mages into healers
