I haven't played in a long time, I don't remember what they did with the Overlord. If he can't be killed, then you can just beat him up so he doesn't stick around in Shi'o for too long. :)
Actually, I have a written history of Ashan here. I used to be very into it and read it while playing, until I got tired of playing. There's also a different translation in the history than in the licensed game, so I also edited it. :) I think it could be very helpful in writing, although there are a lot of words... P.S. I edited it up to the chapter "Empire in Flames".
