The rating is calculated using the formula proposed by Sticky. The calculation is done sequentially. At the beginning of the season, each player has 1500 points. The number of points awarded for a win and deducted for a loss depends on the difference in rating. Therefore, over short periods of time, the calculated rating strongly depends on the sequence of wins/losses and the current rating value of both the player and their opponents. That is, the date is needed to organize this sequence.
