If a person who knows me in real life sends me into retirement, then that says something.
Kostya, I also know you in real life and respect you very much. Moreover, your views are probably closer to me than anyone else's in the AС. The only thing I didn't understand is why you voted against the ChMCh, but for exclusion from the tournament, even though you wrote right here on the forum that the best option would be a tech forfeit. You should have voted for that in the AС as well.
Besides, I don't like the fact that people don't appreciate when someone does something for them selflessly.
Unbelievable... Kostya, how many times can I explain this to you? If you join the AС, or become an organizer or moderator for the sake of someone's gratitude, then you're wasting your time. You have to understand that the vast majority of people will attack and criticize you if you do something they consider wrong. Therefore, you can only go there if you don't care about those insults, or if the very process of being in these bodies gives you enough satisfaction (whether from a sense of usefulness, a feeling of power, etc.) to neutralize all the discontent from others.
I believe that the AС (in its current composition) has outlived its usefulness... And controversial situations in tournaments should be resolved by the organizer and a specially invited judge for that purpose.
Golden words. After this situation, I came to the conclusion that structures like the AС are not needed by anyone at all. If there are normal judges and an organizer, then no judicial bodies are necessary. What did the AС's lawlessness lead to? Someone here rightly wrote that in the AС there should be people looking in the same direction. And so those looking in the same direction vote for the AС. Consequently, those who look in different directions will feel uncomfortable here. And we've seen how looking in the same direction ends many times throughout history.
By the way, this whole situation with the AС on HeroesWorld reminds me of a historical analogy.
HeroesWorld before the arrival of strong players from other resources — boyar Russia.
After — the golden age of Russia (the times of Peter the Great, Catherine the Great, etc.).
The AС elections — the First State Duma in Russia.
The recent events related to the AС — the October Revolution and the mass emigration of the Russian elite (incidentally, even the slogans of the same era, like "just leave, we'll manage without you." You'll manage, but the question is about the quality of life. You can eat your fill, or you can get bread on ration cards and sausage on coupons).
After this situation, I seriously started thinking about the questions: "Do I even need Heroes at all?"
That's a mistake. I'll answer that question differently. Kostya, Heroes needs you ;)
