initially decided to take on the role of an observer because he had a rough idea of what all this would lead to

but honestly, he never imagined that it would escalate to such an absurdity, that something that was built and strengthened over the years would collapse due to one decision that was not obvious to everyone (and it couldn't be obvious to everyone!!!)

honestly, it's embarrassing, if not for everyone, then for almost everyone, and it's very upsetting that this is happening in what seemed like an almost indestructible community
