What do you think about the melodic death metal genre?

Are there those for whom metal started with a single song?

If we're talking about the beginning, one of the first "metal" bands I heard was Cannibal Corpse :eek: I listened to them for a while, especially liking their cover of Metallica's "No Remorse."
