The map turned out to be quite challenging :) 70% of the territory is covered in snow! My mage wasn't offered a dwelling, and my opponent also played without one, but considering that he spent 90% of the game running around his own territory, I don't think he was too worried about it. The upgrade progression was mediocre; I wasn't allowed to resurrect in the castle and practically didn't find it anywhere until the final stage. The gnome, on the other hand, had resurrection and was much more successful in dealing with evil neutrals. In the end, Karl managed to break through to my castle and appeared in my starting location. I managed to defend with a tome of light and retreated home, where I built up a small army and waited for the gnome. The final battle took place in my castle. Unfortunately, one major mistake at the end of the battle tipped the scales in favor of GL. Thanks for the game!
