IN THIS CONNECTION, A QUESTION FOR THE GM: Does the Pyromancer ignore the Guardian's defense, and if so, does the Pyromancer die as a result of this defense?

The Pyromancer ignores all defenses and remains alive. The exception is the Blood Mage's defense; in this case, the Pyromancer dies, while the Blood Mage remains alive.
