| The whole game was a complete mess... I don't understand how I won myself. Throughout the game, the army never had more than 18 archers, 2 cavalry, and I never had more than 4 heroes... It all started when Rion came with one stack, and two more heroes with one stack of first level... And I would have taken restart 111, but my opponent said something like he was in a bad spot too, and I had Aislinn as my fourth hero, so I decided to play. 5 computers except purple - Conflux!!! Very little money, nowhere to get it, plus green Ciele killed two of my scout heroes and two cavalry. Result of week 1-4, 6 in the fort in my native, 1-4 in the former green's. Opponent has Gunnison with good stats... On the second week, I take a hive for 6 wyverns, farm skeletons, have no money at all and nowhere to get it... Took another hive for 6 wyverns and in it dragonflies killed 2 cavalry of the second week... On the opponent's turn, I'm thinking about surrendering or trying on the third to break through to teal and orange and take their two Confluxes and try to build fireplaces there, maybe they already have Capitol and Municipality built there... Full of such Napoleonic plans, I walk down the path, see a Pandora's Box behind many wyvern monarchs, but only 8 mana points (Aislinn already has expert Earth and Slow has been available for a while, but only 18 archers, and those are all hired), but behind them I saw a dungeon village, managed to build a Mana Vortex there, double the mana at the end of the week, and take the Pandora's Box with Meteor Shower losing one wyvern. Got all Air Magic!!! Aislinn learned Armorer! Dimension Door to the knights and took their club +5 attack from them. On 131 I double the mana and hope that if the next zone is 19 and not 22, I can somehow slip past the red heroes into the 12th zone, and then somehow into the 21st. Basically, the orange castle is visible from the lookout point. Actually, I could try to break into a Conflux and transfer the army, then capture his castle with Fly, but it's only the start of the week. Only 4 heroes, 250 skeletons, so I built a marketplace in the dungeon village, traded all the resources for gold, and with Chain Lightning and 100 mana points, I'm not particularly trying to avoid an encounter with the opponent. In the worst case, I'll buy my way out and go straight to orange and teal. I break through to the top, there's snow, just as zone 19. Adelina attacks a red scout with a fairy. No ranged attack, but he doesn't know that and runs away himself. Aislinn farms skeletons, visits the arena, Dimension Doors, visits the Star Wheel, and blocks the nearest underground entrance. Rion finds a passage to the opponent and prevents his scout with some kind of retinue from reaching the respawn. Turns out I trapped Gunnison with a scout hero underground, and first Iona attacked me and killed almost all the archers (there were up to 5 anti-morale procs per round!!! the wyverns skipped their turn the first three times in a row!!!), but there were almost none left anyway, and then Gunnison himself. The chain and the large number of skeletons allowed me to achieve victory in the battle. On the next turn, I approach the well, replenish mana, use Dimension Door, and reach the scout with the remaining retinue on the last square. |
