Clarification regarding the rules.
At work, I have a Russian-localized version (it's strange, it seems like an English version, but it understands the Russian font), and at home, I have a purely English version that doesn't understand the Russian font. HMM3 SoD 3.2 Eng.
So, the AI behaves differently on the two computers. Personally, I prefer the AI behavior when using the Russian localization. And IMO, this can significantly affect the gameplay tactics. Is it possible to choose a "convenient" version?

I don't think the issue is specifically with the version. It seems that the localization shouldn't affect the game engine or AI behavior. Personally, I see only two possibilities:
1) One of the versions isn't a complete 3.2 (a buggy patch, etc.)
2) The computers on which the games are installed have different processing power, and the AI makes dumber moves (like in chess :D)
If there are no problems with the versions, and you're sure that both computers have a normal 3.2 version, then playing on either version is allowed.
