I am often asked for help because people can't install patch 3.2.
For such cases, there is another way: copy the already patched Heroes3.exe to the folder with the game files: /attachments/7503/.
This patch will fix bugs in the game and allow you to play with platinum players, but this installation method has a significant drawback: you cannot choose the "Conflux" town, and there is no map generator. To have all of this, you need to install the map generator:
Map Generator for SoD /attachments/5473/ Instructions /attachments/7684/ (c) ewgeniy 18.05.2007
Just read it carefully.
