Oh, what cunning Mafia players we have here! They blocked their own player and decided that if that player is killed, I won't suspect them – real geniuses! And then Vegtam comes along and provides clear evidence (the star isn't that hard to see, and the "sheriff" inscription is even more strongly associated with the star) of a supposedly blocked Mafia player, effectively ruining their plans. That's how the townspeople see the situation. Well, if that's the case, then the town is in deep trouble.
What else can be said? If the town continues to think as a single entity and falls for the Barbarians' tricks, they'll lose another innocent. They've already lost the Doctor, and based on questionable evidence. Some people didn't even fully understand the evidence; they just voted because it sounded good!
Think carefully, and use your brains. Vegtam isn't a new Game Master; do you really think he'd provide such an obvious clue that's right there in plain sight?
