If we're talking about what's best, it's better to install all versions on the computers... let there be one official version according to the rules, and the players can agree among themselves. I hope this isn't prohibited?
Tonight, I'm going to the club to make preliminary arrangements. I've invited Volodymyr and Sem to join me. I hope Vik will fix the bugs in the light patch, and closer to the tournament, someone (Volodymyr) will help me install all the versions so they work correctly on the computers.
I'm asking again - please stop the argument about the version. Or move it to the appropriate thread.
And I ask everyone to review the list of finalists - analyze who they will play against and on which version if they meet in the draw. I think there won't be any arguments about the version - personally, everyone is much more reasonable and can come to an agreement. :)
Yesterday, I asked Mizrael on ICQ if he could come to Kyiv if needed... he gave an inappropriate answer... I don't know what I did to offend him.
Regarding Vitalik - I don't know why Samurai is so fixated on him and me. Could it be love?
I've repeated several times that the lineup in Moscow was stronger - the winners of the tournament in Michurinsk, Preds and Stinger, didn't make it to the finals in Moscow.
Plus, Vitalik was accused of cheating - but I think he played quite well in Moscow - and he might show his skills in Kyiv as well. Or is someone just trying to make noise - i.e., without proof - and continue to talk about his cheating?
Because it's clear that cheating can only be detected in person, and the club is the best place for that. I think this is Samurai's doing - he's afraid of Vitalik. )
Besides, personally for me, there are only two players in the list who have taught me something - Vitalik and Scorp. The rest, frankly, are just players who are trying to catch up or who get lucky with a lot of cons. But these two taught me something. There's also Darth, Tourist, Anton, and my clanmates, the Lords - but they're mostly offline players.
Plus, even Volodymyr admitted that he learned a lot from Vitalik.
What's my point? I contacted Mizrael yesterday with the intention of inviting him to the tournament - if there's a dispute, why not invite everyone from this controversial situation? I.e., Wowa, Mizrael, Scorp?
I think we won't suffer much with the Swiss system
