Perhaps the question is premature, but the number of groups – 2 – seems a bit much. There will be around 30 or more players, so how many games will need to be played within each group?
If everyone plays against everyone else, the group stage will stretch out for a couple of months... And if you also take into account that some players will lose interest halfway through... IMHO, it would be better to make the groups smaller...
