The point is how the Wall spell is cast. The essence is that there should be a gap of 1 cell between the unit and the wall - just like in the screenshot!!!! The same thing happens when the decoy stack consists of 99 Angels. And you won't believe it! The same thing happens in Conflux! First, cast the long-range wall, and then the short-range wall, so that in the 3rd round you get a turn to recast.
