Imps – they were also present in the second Discs. They look like a mix of a wolf and a goat. And in the third game, they are still there, but their appearance has changed; their torso has become more humanoid, and their face is terrifying, with a toothy mouth. In the second game, they attacked with their claws, but in the third, they acquired swords.
By the way, I like the system of rods – guardians of the lands – more in the third part; you place a guardian, and you don't have to worry about it anymore. And later, it can even defend itself. In theory, you can also add warriors to the guardian, but I've never done that.
