We came up with this strategy :)
Both sides have +2 speed, I have earth magic, I think Tolyan does too.
I understand that the player whose liches attack second will need to be more active. I cast Slow, the main goal is to slow down the liches so they don't attack before mine (assuming Slow will also be cast on me, but that's unlikely). It works on everyone except liches :D
I decide not to delay and attack immediately. I eliminate 15 liches with Devils, Dread Knights and Knights against Knights, Efreet against Dogs, and Vampires position themselves so that the Dogs don't attack the Dread Knights and Knights. I receive a response, it's funny, the liches resist :) Tolyan focuses on the Devils and leaves one Dread Knight, Tolyan's Efreet and Imps get demoralized, it's easier now :)
In the second round, both of us cast Shield, with the last Dread Knight I try to Age the Devils – unsuccessfully. In response, the same turn, but Aging works, with the words "gotcha." I focus on the Necro Knights because they will move anyway, while the Inferno creatures might get demoralized. That's exactly what happened, and so often that no one expected it :)
Together with Cherk, we played for about 4 hours, 10 rounds, and there wasn't a single time when all of Tolyan's units moved. Necropolis rules :)
There was hope for Vampires under Shield and with Skin of Stone, Tolyan has a dangerous stack of Devils, but they didn't move for 2 rounds in a row at the most crucial moment.
Thanks for the battle!
