After all the restarts, the map generated with fast routes. One route leads to the Guardian Order Castle, the second to the snow area. After clearing out the water elementals, I immediately encounter a block of 20+ snipers guarding a pile of junk. I start capturing houses and arenas, 2 crypts. Tazar pushes artillery, then gives me earth. From day 115 to 122, Tazar simply runs towards me. Meanwhile...
scouts are collecting resources from neutral creatures, I find 3 outposts, a nest of hydras behind a herd of pegasi, and a nest of lizards. On day 117, I make a very bad and frankly stupid decision and place hydras instead of cows.
On day 122, I reach the hydra nest, but I have almost no money. I lose 4 ducks and all the gnolls to 60 pegasi. I take the nest, build a market at my castle, and slowly start converting resources into gold. On day 123, I attack a nuisance player. My army travels halfway across the map to capture 2 chests, one with 1k gold and the other with mediocre artifacts. I trade, and defeat Tazar. I had a plan to exploit the earth magic and destroy the outpost near the throne room, but, naturally, I upgraded artillery instead. On the way to Tazar, my army kills a single outpost unit and I lose the remaining lizards.
On some day, I don't remember which, I attack the snipers with 1 angel, 3 hydras, 6 lizards, and a few upgraded flies (I didn't have enough money to buy more, so I took them from weaker players and upgraded them :D). There are exactly 49 of them, and I lose 1 hydra. I spend some time in the snow area, take a small medusa lair, and build a castle. On day 131, I see Gurney with 16 12 22 8. I have 1 angel, 2 hydras, and 3 gold. I surrender.
Thanks for the game and the experience.
