Did I understand correctly, do opponents have a SHARED list of heroes? Does that leave 12 heroes for both of them?
And what about how it was done in tournaments before? When each player eliminates 12 heroes from the other's list, and each player is left with 12 heroes. Because if there are 12 heroes for both, the player who chooses first has an advantage; they can take the strongest hero.

Yes, the list is shared.
We need something new.
And it's not good to leave the strongest heroes; only a couple of heroes have an absolutely impenetrable build (and even that is relative), and there are counter-heroes for the rest.

Of course, if a miracle happens and 15 people write here and give me well-reasoned arguments why we need to revert to the "12 heroes per opponent" elimination, then I will have no choice but to change the elimination method.
But I think I'm more likely to wake up in the morning and see Jesus in iron armor with a Templar emblem, casting a Tunguska meteorite to destroy alien robots attacking Earth, than that will happen.
