So, you need to kill the hero and run away? But what about your own army?

The best strategy is to leave a tent with warriors on the map and take only one unit of archers. You can shoot down the enemy hero and then run away with your archers. You will most likely have to sacrifice the archers.
Here are a few tips on how to avoid encountering the Grey Player.
- He chooses "easy" paths, so if you build your town off to the side, he will never go there.
- He captures population. If the encounter is inevitable, make sure he doesn't get your valuable peasants.
- And if the wave has passed, be careful, he may return the same way.
