Play against Ms. Smekhova — she will teach you to take maximum Dragon Fly Hives with 5 champions with a moderate fattening — from magic, only healing was used, as far as I remember (unfortunately, I could not watch in detail), and much less mana.
I will clarify right away, we played SoD under Chaos rules, not TE, on 8mm6, start of the second week, so the hero's stats were not sky-high.

Sorry, but with "moderate fattening" and "not sky-high" parameters, taking maximum hive with 5 champions is not so easy. A moderate fattening of 90 flies will devour at best in the 2nd round if only healing is available from magic, regardless of the player's skill :) I think the fattening there was quite substantial, which also participated in killing the flies, along with decent stats/skills. No need to spin tall tales again :)
