The word "FOUND" for the target means he DIDN'T KNOW what was there. In 99.999% of cases, such a trip to the treasure zone with 16 Grandmasters results in a waste of time for the main hero. And do you consider that a smart play?
Just yesterday, I quite successfully went with Kirr into the treasure zone on the first month. I didn't, of course, beat a hundred Dendroids, but I easily took out a horde of Gremlins from a Dragon Fly Hive, and with the ducks, it's much more interesting.
Besides, players of that level very rarely go into the unknown. I'm almost certain that at least a scout poked around there, if not a whole armada:)
