"Escape to Salvation" - "Magnificent Retreat" [Campaign 4, Mission 4]

I read that some people wanted to stop heroes who are rushing towards castles at high speed, and I found a way to do it. Before jumping into a one-way portal, reduce the movement speed of all creatures to the minimum in the game settings. Then, as many have already said here, click on the hero's icon and then press the spacebar. This makes it quite easy to stop even 2 heroes, even without having a particularly powerful computer. Maybe this tip already exists, but I didn't read the entire thread. :) I came to this thread to confirm that this mission in "Tribes of the East" is the last one. The game crashed in Windows at the very end. I completed this mission without any special tricks, but it wasn't easy. :)

Thank you to the creators of the site and its participants! Some missions in Heroes 5 and Tribes of the East are very difficult (Hammers of Fate are easy even on the hardest difficulty). Without hints (and the hope that these missions can actually be completed), I would have abandoned this game long ago.
