The opponent attacked me with 20 Thunderbirds, 40 Dryads, 2 Angels, and 7 Cyclops. Against a Berserker (who attacked the Dryads with Thunderbolts) and the subsequent blinding of the only remaining stack of Dryads, there was no chance. I had 220 mana – enough to blind for a long time. :)

I played as Zhabarkas after all.
The description is quite colorful, especially the part about "no chance."
Overall, I think I played well, at least a solid 4 out of 5. I gave the Necromancer, received the Barbarian. I developed normally, and on turn 136, I got the Utopian – 1 cube. On turn 143, the Utopian reached its maximum level. I improved its parameters, got the Explosion ability, and by level 20, I had Defense and Earth Magic. I messed up in the final, though. I should have immediately cast Mass Haste. Instead, I decided to use the Explosion ability. I closed the gates with a Thunderbird. There were only 300 skeletons. 20 Liches, 2 Angels, about 50 Zombies, 30 Vampires. Ugh, who to attack? The parameters are higher, and in case of trouble, I have 60k gold, enough for 3 of my armies. Ah, excessive self-confidence let me down. The Berserker without Fire Magic is quite expensive... but there was double mana, and there was even a chance to buy my way out with 23 Dryads – but I thought the mana would run out. What a bug SoD has led to – I can't see how much mana the opponent has... so I didn't buy my way out... after 10 rounds, the towers finished off the Dryads, and I gave up the artifacts and the hero.
I learned a lesson in the final – it's a pity, there was a great chance to get out of the group.
