There's a significant difference when one person can't play for just a couple of days, and even then, only before the New Year holidays – due to objective reasons and circumstances, while the other doesn't show up on the forum or anywhere else for half a month, knowing that these half a month are the last days for the group tournament.
The difference is significant, and it's immediately clear who really didn't want to play.
This difference is significant in your (subjective) system of values. For someone else, it might not be.
And secondly, let's assume you're right in this case, so what? What does this "rightness" give you?
