Any changes to the rules should be agreed upon before the game, not during it.
But doesn't anyone ever agree during the game on the date and location of the final battle (FB), if it has dragged on for too long and no one benefits from further prolonging the game, even though this isn't in the rules??? And in general, it often happens that people agree to change the rules during the game. For example, I have sometimes agreed with opponents (and with you, by the way) not to attack each other through buggy passages and about payments for collecting money and resources, attacking heroes outside the border, and even discussed the transfer of captured artifacts. Convento, of course, lost in any case due to violating the rule about mandatory clearing of the guards, and this agreement not to use Armageddon when having a large advantage in troops can only be due to the desire to win at all costs, and I am not aware of such cases. I would never agree not to use it. But if the Shadow of Death still agreed not to use it, then the agreement must be fulfilled.
